Canadian festival of emerging Francophone music FME reveals first wave of acts for 2025 edition
Festival de musique émergente en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (FME) celebrates its 23rd edition this August (28–31) in the lakeside city of Rouyn-Noranda.
Artists confirmed for the SiriusXM-sponsored Main Stage include 2025 Polaris Prize long-listed artists Population II, The OBGMs, Ariane Roy, and Klô Pelgag (pictured above), whose most recent album Abracadabra was named Francophone Album of the Year at this year's Juno Awards.
They will be joined on the Main Stage over the four-day event by Québec scene staples Marie-Pierre Arthur, Jay Scøtt, and Les Trois Accords, plus Vancouver-based septet Empanadas Ilegales and rising artists like Billie du Page and hyper-pop artist BéLi. On the nearby Fizz Stage, artists confirmed include pop/R&B artist Virginie B, Vancouver-based DJ Handsome Tiger, and Riot Grrrl-inspired band Poolgirl.
Additional acts for the indoor stages will be announced closer to the time.
