BTS' Jin announces new solo single "The Astronaut"
BTS' oldest member Jin has announced his forthcoming solo single "The Astronaut", which will be his final outing before moving forward with his mandatory military service.
Yesterday (17 October) it was announced that BTS will move forward with completing their mandatory military service in South Korea, and will reunite as a group in 2025. It was also revealed that Jin, who turns 30 in December, will be the first member to begin the process at the end of October once the "schedule for his solo release is concluded".
Today (18 October) Jin has announced his solo single "The Astronaut", and has also shared the release schedule, which will conclude on 30 October with a lyric video for the song, which will be released on 28 October.
Billboard reported that over the weekend Jin revealed he has a collaborative single on the way at the group's concert in Busan, "I got the opportunity to work with someone I like," Jin said. "So a single will come out soon."
It's not clear who the collaboration is with, but there's rumours it could be Coldplay, who BTS worked with on "My Universe" in 2021.
Jin's new single "The Astronaut" will arrive on 28 October.
