Blondshell releases cover of The Cranberries' "Disappointment"
Blondshell has delivered studio version of The Cranberries' "Disappointment", a song she's performed during her US tour earlier this year.
Blondshell's cover of The Cranberries' "Disappointment" follows her January single "Joiner", which will appear on her upcoming self-titled debut album with last year's "Veronica Mars", "Sepsis", "Kiss City" and "Olympus".
Blondshell, real name Sabrina Teitelbaum, says of the song, which she's been performing at her US tour dates: "I wanted to sing a song off of No Need To Argue, which is one of my favourite albums ever. Dolores’ voice carries so much emotion throughout the entire album, not just on the big hits like "Zombie", but on the more understated songs as well.
""Disappointment" hits me so hard because it feels like heartbreak disguised as apathy. I wanted to sing the song how I heard it, with the intensity of the pain behind those airy, relaxed vocals and drums."
Blondshell's cover of The Cranberries' "Disappointment" is out now. Her self-titled debut album will arrive via Partisan Records on 7 April, and is available to pre-order now. She'll play London's Moth Club on 24 May. Tickets are on sale now via blondshellmusic.com.
