“Incomprehensible” posters signal possible new era for Big Thief
Big Thief are teasing new music via cryptic posters across New York City.
Quoted lyrics from a track titled “Incomprehensible” have begun to appear across Manhattan and Brooklyn in neighborhoods such as Soho and Crown Heights.
The band has quietly included the upcoming track in their recent live sets, including ten tracks performed during their show at Project Pabst last year. While no official announcement has been made, this recent activity is fuelling rumours of a new album.
Big Thief’s most recent full-length record, Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You, dates back to 2022. The group is set to head on a North American tour this autumn.
In the meantime, lead vocalist Adrianne Lenker recently released a live solo album, Live at Revolution Hall, recorded in Portland.
