Ari Balouzian and Ryan Hope, two thirds of the acclaimed, BRIT-nominated trio Gabriels have announced that they will score the soundtrack, of he forthcoming HBO documentary Ren Faire.
Operating under the duo’s production moniker, Appraiser, Ren Faire is their third collaboration with the US director Lance Oppenheim, which includes 2020’s Some Kind Of Heaven, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020, and was produced by Darren Aronofsky (Requiem For A Dream, Black Swan, Mother!).
A synopsis for the film reads, "when the ailing king of America's largest renaissance festival declares his retirement, an epic power struggle ensues between an actor, a former elephant trainer, and a kettle-corn kingpin to claim his throne."
Ren Faire debuts on 2 June via HBO and will be available to stream on Max. There will be a double vinyl release on 30 August via Elara x Appraiser.
