
Aphex Twin announces his first official release in five years
Alongside the EP announcement, Aphex Twin has shares the brand new single, “Blackbox Life Recorder 21f".
Blackbox Life Recorder 21f / In a Room7 F760 is a four-track EP which will be the electronic artist’s first project since 2018’s Collapse.
Aphex Twin performed for the first time since 2019 last week at Barcelona’s Sonar festival and sold posters at the festival’s merch stand containing QR codes that led to an augmented reality app called YXBoZXh0d2lu. Scanning the codes into the app activates short snippets of music and animation.

Blackbox Life Recorder 21f / In a Room7 F760, arrives on 28 July via Warp Records. Aphex Twin is set to play at Field Day Festival on 19 August.
