Anna B Savage unveils new song "Crown Shyness"
Anna B Savage has delivered a new song titled "Crown Shyness" as the third preview of her upcoming album in|FLUX.
After announcing in|FLUX with the title-track in November, Anna B Savage has shared new track "Crown Shyness" as her first single of 2023, and third taster of the album, which will also feature "The Ghost".
"I whittled away at this song for a long time, over two years, eventually bringing it to Mike and working on it together," Anna B Savage says. "It’s about feeling two conflicting things at the same time: a pull towards and a push away from. For me this song doesn’t feel explicitly sad, though. To me it feels like an acknowledgement of tenderness, and connection, but also the ways in which it can’t happen."
in|FLUX will follow Anna B Savage's 2021 debut album A Common Turn, and is produced by Tunng and LUMP's Mike Lindsay.
Last month Anna B Savage released Dan Deacon's remix of "in|FLUX".
"Crown Shyness" is out now. Anna B Savage's album of the same name will be released via City Slang on 17 February, and is available to pre-order now. She'll play London's Village Underground on 28 March. Visit annabsavage.com for tickets.
