Actress returns with the double singles, “Its Me ( g 8 ) / Oway ( f 7)"
Actress – AKA Darren Cunningham – plays his next move in the forthcoming LXXXVIII project as he shares another chess inspired double single, “Its Me ( g 8 ) / Oway ( f 7)".
A lifetime in the making, LXXXVIII is the culmination of 25 years of honing audio infusions for dance floors, rave dens, festivals, and concert halls.
"Its Me ( g 8 ) / Oway ( f 7 )” arrives shortly after the release of avant-garde-influenced single “Push Power ( a 1 )”, which signals the first move in an intricate chess game and “Game Over ( e 1 )” - the final, closing move. LXXXVIII is the roman numerals for ‘88’, which is both a reference to a previous Actress release of the same name and also a nod to the concept of infinity, emphasising how everything is connected within their practice.
Actress recently supported James Blake at Alexandra Palace in London alongside dates in Paris and Berlin and is playing alongside Autechre in Australia across selected dates later this year. Actress will also play a headline show at London's Studio 9294 on 7 December.
LXXXVIII will be released on 3 November via Ninja Tune, and is available to pre-order now.
