The Slow Revolt unveils tranquil, textured track “Lean”
Joe Mirza, also known as The Slow Revolt, has been previously hailed for his flawless contrasting of genres. His newest track “Lean” is another plunge pool into the enchanting sound of beautiful tranquility and lovely layers.
The consistent guitar melody opens the track into a misty landscape of morning dew and seaside freshness, complete with subtle bursts of distorted guitars and a building tension of unpredictable electronica percussion. Mirza’s enchanting vocals bounce beautifully across the layered melodies, building in each bar to a pinnacle of bubbling sounds, changing the scenery from an empty landscape to a busy crossroads of texturised sounds.
Whilst maintaining his soft vocals throughout, the instrumentals in “Lean” carry the textured tension, blending beautifully into a melodic chaos that seems both unnerving and utterly soothing at the same time.
“Lean” is the first track to be taken from The Slow Revolt’s upcoming EP Sketches, which is due for release on 9 September.
