Norway's Farida kicks off 2018 with glitchy R&B jam "You"
Dreamy R&B/pop sorceress Farida has today unveiled "You", a deliciously glitchy and hook-infested new single.
Farida is starting the new year off strong with a track that blurs the lines of conventional R&B. There's a big, jerky chorus, synth chirrups that sound like they've been nabbed from a Wii game, and chopped 'n' screwed vocals galore - but her phenomenal voice, sitting somewhere between BANKS' breathy darkness and pure pop power, still stands front and centre.
The Norwegian/Algerian artist is following up last year's "New York" and "Next To Nothing" singles with her first offering of 2018. "You" is the first of a few tracks set to emerge over the course of the coming 12 months... perhaps ahead of an album proper, which she told us a few months ago would be arriving ihis year.
