Listen: No Joy – Second Spine [UK Premiere]
Coinciding with a lengthy European tour, dream pop trio No Joy announce the release of Pastel and Pass Out, a new EP that follows hot on the heels of this summer’s well received Wait To Pleasure LP.
Out now through Mexican Summer, the EP concludes with the quietly confident ‘Second Spine’ that sees No Joy further step away from the blissed out guitar haze of their former work in favour of a more streamlined, airy sound. Akin to the earlier work of Howling Bells and The Duke Spirit, “Second Spine” could easily be No Joy’s most outwardly poppy moment to date.
No Joy will headline London’s Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club on November 11, with support coming from Best Fit favourites Fear Of Men. Check their official Facebook page for further live appearances.
