London five piece Jarbird have mastered the art of maximising the minimal on their latest track, “Such Is The House”.
A foundation stone of opening harmonic blushes are interspersed with trickling, crystal guitars and impossibly slow beats to keep the listener at bay for the first two minutes. Then, as motif coarse synths make their return and vocals begin to climb on top of one another, a wholesome crescendo swoons at the close, nicely juxtaposing the track’s early intermittent impulses. A fine effort from a band who appear to be just months old.
Jarbird play Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, London on 8 April.
