Moving away from their more dubstep-inclined outings, AZEDIA have revealed a new piece of chillwave, showing-off their subtly and a loungey capability that will help widen their ever-growing appeal to a wider audience.
For those just discovering the sounds of AZEDIA, the somewhat mysterious production duo have been making a name for themselves since the summer of 2010 thanks to a swathe of intelligent house and support from important genre tastemakers such as Mr. Suicide Sheep.
With "Kin" the young pair embrace a heady combination of metronomic beats, affected vocal samples and gentle but wholly satisfying drops to create an infectious, cooling outing with the beautiful simplicity to ward away any of those unwelcome January blues.
The touching, organically growing hums join nu-classical-inspired piano lines - complete with one particularly interesting, unexpected chord progression - in a brilliant signal to the quality of their forthcoming record Form due for release on 2 February and available to pre-order here.
