Hampshire alt pop trio, Blaenavon, have followed up the release of KOSO EP with a stripped-back video for their track, “Prague”.
The bare setting and live recording creates a new depth for “Prague”, simply because there is little else to focus on. A real sense of intimacy is created whilst Ben Gregory’s vocals howl through what seems like an empty room. Lights illuminate the band’s vulnerable performance, which is at once uplifting and raw.
There is certainly greater emotional attachment to the track through this near-gig experience. Wonderfully effective.
Blaenavon play Broadcast, Glasgow tonight (31 October) and The Great Gatsby, Sheffield tomorrow, 1 November.
