The Japanese House reveals glitchy visuals to accompany new track "Sugar Pill"
Riddled with glitchy shots and colourful, fairground scenes, The Japanese House reels us in by revealing 'Sugar Pill', the final track from her fothcoming EP 'Clean'.
Amber Bain, the face behind The Japanese House, takes us on an ambient stroll with this beautifully soft track. The Imogen Heap-esque vocals blend faultlessly with the flickering beat and the blunt guitar melody, reeling us into her layered visuals that accompany "Sugar Pill".
The track is bustling with energy, yet The Japanese House manages to put her own slant on the electronica to make it feel cohesive. Angelic vocals merge with colourful, out of focus shots to bring the autumn evening to life, and her reverse dancing is elegant but broken, adding a sense of fragmentation to accompany the glitchy beat.
