The Japanese House reveals atmospheric track "Sister" from upcoming debut EP
London-based Amber Bain, AKAThe Japanese House, is the latest singer to entice us with elegant harmonies and soft instrumentals with her latest track, "Sister".
"Sister" is an instant dive into the divine delicacy of Bain's vocals, weaving gracefully from eerie, Imogen Heap-esque harmonies to atmospheric heights. There's no doubt that the vocals are the main focal point of this track, but with the subtle, moody synths and the unpredictable emergence of the short-lived guitar melody later in the track, The Japanese House has reiterated her ability to withhold the listener with minimalistic outputs, further elevating her vocal ability.
"Sister" is an elegant trip into the serene setting of soft synths and heavenly harmonies, whilst also urging the listener to hang onto each angelic word that delves into different pitches and manipulations, further proving her blossoming talent. It's almost unimaginable that a 19-year-old is behind such a delectable track, and it just makes us more excited for the debut EP.
The debut EP, Pools To Bathe In, is out 27 April via Dirty Hit Records.
