Listen: The Black Tambourines – Crosseyed
The Black Tambourines have returned with ‘Crosseyed’, another lo-fi surf-rock tune taken from their upcoming debut album.
It’s been a couple of months since the last taster, ‘Bodies’, but the Falmouth four-piece are at it again, providing scratchy, scuzzy guitars on an undeniably contagious track.
Having stuck to their fantastically carefree sound, ‘Crosseyed’ expresses extra eagerness via an upbeat tempo and shouty, beach bound vocals that could be filed next to American rebels, FIDLAR and Sheffield labelmates, Best Friends. The relentless guitars fit perfectly with the catchy lyrics, provoking a classic ‘catch some waves’ sound and images of youngsters running to the Cornwall coast.
Debut album, The Black Tambourines is out 2 September through Art is Hard Records.
