ShitKid shows a flair for the rebellious with debut single "Oh Please Be A Cocky Cool Kid"
Signing to PNKSLM Recordings, the Gothenburg based artist Åsa Söderqvist - alias ShitKid - has shared her debut single with the label.
Pounding rhythms and breathy vocals recount the age-old tale of love at first sight. The thrill of instant connection runs electric through every twang, and heated desire echoes in every whispered sigh. "Oh Please Be A Cocky Cool Kid" is infatuation at it's most hazily intoxicating.
"I recorded it immediately when I had stumbled home from that party," Åsa told The Fader. "When I woke up, it took me a few more hours to remember the drunk recording the night before, and I had a walk of shame to my computer, slowly opening Garageband. And there it was. The exact feeling he gave me."
An EP is expected to follow soon.
