SEB returns with the shoegazey and nonchalant hip-hop track “Get Yo Bread"
Mom + Pop-signed artist and producer SEB explores the harsh reality of financial dependency on idiosyncratic single “Get Yo Bread.”
The song is the third single from upcoming EP IT’S OKAY WE’RE DREAMING II: don’t worry, I’ll be fine, scheduled for release on 19 August via Mom+Pop. “Get Yo Bread,” follows dystopian single, “Save Me,” and the antisocial “fuck it, I’m the man.”
The song stems from his substantial financial decline during the pandemic. "I wrote this song when I was probably at my lowest financially," he explains. "We were still in the middle of the pandemic, and I was arguing everyday with unemployment. During that time, money was the focal point of everything, and more importantly what was I willing to do for it. The song starts with me screaming "get yo bread" and by the end I'm right back where i started."
Currently planted in the tropical city of LA, throughout the years SEB has found himself travelling between Chicago, New York, Haiti, Oklahoma and Miami – with each destination paving its own sentimental influence on his music.
