Rosalía shines on the velveteen R&B/flamenco hybrid "Malamente"
24-year Catalonian Rosalía had some of the most popular songs of the Spanish summer last year and dropped the incredible flamenco-flecked R&B debut album Los Angeles.
Rephrasing her country's most traditional music form earned her a Latin Grammy nomination and the El Guincho co-produced "Malamente" represents a truly magnificent step forward for the Spanish singer and actress. It's visceral and emotionally-charged, transcending language barriers effortlessly.
The first track from her upcoming second album "El Mal Quere", it comes with defiantly iconic video that mixes toreadors with skateboarding penitents and is directed by the superlative directors’ collective CANADA with choreography by Charm La Donna, who has worked with the likes of Selena Gomez and Britney Spears.
