Listen: Redder - "Let Us Get Out" [Premiere]
With the relentless rhythm and haunting vocals that are fast becoming their calling card, Redder slide back into our speakers cool as winter yet with the weird warmth of reverb.
A good while since we last heard from Redder, the Finnish duo have further finnessed the ethereal echos and symphonic soul of "Faster" that first caught our attention last summer. Their latest track, "Let Us Get Out" boasts similarly enigmatic and somewhat chillinglyrics - this time paired perfectly with affective chords, symphonic scratches and a deliciously distorted clarinet.
Ever so slightly more upbeat than the Borders / Lines EP, "Let Us Get Out" shows shades of a jaunty side and lends itself to remixes as much as repeat listens. All of which bodes well for what's still to come.
Speaking about the track, the band said: "the song is about the every-day need to switch between the different roles we have in life. We think it's a hopeful message rather an angsty one."
