pronoun airs new single "stay" ahead of first UK live shows
We fell in love with Alyse Vellturo, aka pronoun, when she dropped an EP named after Tinder's message when you run out of people to swipe on. That was back in 2016. Fast forward a few years, and pronoun's dropping new single "stay" to further entertain and delight you.
pronoun, who counter-intuitively markets herself using critics' negative feedback splashed across her promotional images, is a master of the driving, catchy indie-pop that so defined popular music a decade ago. There's something itchy and subversive in Vellturo's iteration of the theme, however; be it her vocal experimentation or the themes of vulnerability and queerness she nonchalently opens and refuses to apologise for.
"stay" drops ahead of pronoun's first UK tour dates next week, in support of pop-punk stalwarts Mayday Parade.
