Prides, a Glaswegian synth-centred trio, have a knack for creating electro-pop anthems, and know which pitches to pick when it comes to create amazing music videos.
Seeds You Sow, the band’s dove-decorated debut EP (out now on Island Records) is now followed by a clip of the three-track’s closing cut, the chant-along beast “Messiah”. The video, directed by Ian Greenhill and Joseph Danger is a depiction of a gloomy road trip of two dodgy yet cool priests travelling around the Isle of Skye. The bespectacled pair of priests, up to clearly suspicious activities, run aloof into the wild surroundings, swinging bats, donning their tattoos and driving past the band’s cameo in their red convertible car.The cinematic experience, with its accompanying electronic explosion of a track, is described by guitarist Callum Wiseman as “…Fear and Loathing…with priests!”
The band are currently undertaking an intense tour around the country, also pairing up with Foxes, and will headline a show at the Old Queens Head, London on 29 April. Full dates on their Facebook page.
