Orchards unveil sunny new indie-pop tune "Darling"
Glittering syncopation and skittish riffs crash into impossibly catchy vocal lines; Orchards' latest offering is a slice of sunshine in an unusually cold British April.
After the release of the "Honey", Brighton’s Orchards are back with a belter of a follow up in "Darling". It’s a stonking offering, combining the buoyancy of Fickle Friends and rhythmic cacophony of early Foals, all covered in hazy veil of '80s pop. Galloping drums and an infusion of shimmering math-rock create a succinct four minutes of alt. pop.
Currently on tour supporting NYC duo PWR BTTM across the UK and France legs of the European tour, Orchards seem to be on an upward trajectory that has no intent of running out of traction.
