"NJNE1" is a bona fide banger from pop outlier Sve
We haven't written about Brooklyn-based Sve in a while and that's entirely our bad because she's still one of the best under-the-radar DIY pop stars around.
New banger "NJNE1" has a chorus to die for and clocks in at less than three minutes. The song's about "that moment in a relationship when someone you are close to pretends like nothing's wrong, but you clearly know them better than they know themselves," Sve tells us. "They might illustrate this glorious image on social media, smile at parties, and talk about how great everything is...but they can't bullshit you."
"For me, problems are relative to a persons life and experience," she adds. "I'm a true believer people should just let it out no matter how small or big they feel it is, and that you don't always have to be 'OK' or appear 'OK'. Who ever said you can't be grateful and have problems at the same time."
