Following on from her startling debut "After River", Megan Airlie is back with another beautiful new track.
"Honey" once again makes Airlie's timeless and unique voice the standout on a bluesy, pastoral number about being out of step with the other person in the relationship.
Trills of piano give the track a lighter, woozier feel than "After River" but still Airlie's (fast becoming trademark) miserablist outlook darkens the corners. A video clip, above, adds in a troubling domestic scene for another layer of gloomy intrigue.
One of the most exciting voices to come out of Scotland in a long time, Megan Airlie is one to watch.
"Honey" is out now on Bloc Music Records.
