With shades of A Storm In Heaven (The Verve)’s blissful density to the wah-worship of Eddie Hazel’s life affirming "Maggot Brain" (Funkadelic) solo, The Vryll Society are crafting cosmic jams that are both mature and elaborate.
"Air"’s lucid groove is the driving force of the track. Bearing a hypnotic quality, their sound is strung out and uplifting. Shrill guitar occasionally slices through the spacey aerosphere of "Air" conjuring a feeling akin to coming up for air from their endless ocean of delay.
