Twin Peaks are a Chicago quartet of 19-year-old lo-fi indie poppers, clearly influenced by David Lynch and his groundbreaking and influential surreal-drama of the same name.
Whether they have the director’s blessing or not, the band have been putting out music under the TV series’ name recently and the latest to surface on the world wide web is a dreamy pop sizzler called ‘Irene’, which would have fit in perfectly on the show’s soundtrack had it been released 30 years ago.
The track has an essence of garage rock and features unsettled fuzzy vocals over a catchy melody. Beautifully calming and dazed; the perfect tune to stargaze to this summer.
It’s the second song the group of five has unveiled from their upcoming debut, Sunken, which is due out in America on 9 July from Autumn Tone Records.
