Abel Tesfaye pays homage to The Smiths in this new track from The Weeknd in which the R&B smoothie reconfigures ‘Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want’. Now, Morrissey was crude at the best of times (wanting to drop his jeans to the Queen and all) but I’m sure he never dropped a line like “Girl I’m just trying to make you cum without a word” with such ease.
