Star Slinger has never been one to shy away from a challenge, he has even remixed Rihanna after all. But messing with a track like ‘Crew Love’ taken from Drake’s last album Take Care (and featuring none other than The Weeknd) is a ballsy task but one that the producer conquers nonetheless.
While the original cut is a more laidback affair suited to the private VIP room, the ‘Jersey refix’ takes the song out front to the masses; giving it a dancefloor twist with it’s spliced breakbeats throughout. It’s the kind of remix that has a Soundcloud comment on nearly every second of the running time, and very rightly so.
