It’s often the case that a remix of a truly great, unblemished song can strip a certain element of magic from the original.
The heartbreak and loss that flows throughout Shura’s “Touch” has so far been unrivalled this year - the track one of the strongest debuts we’ve heard in 2014. Here, Swedish brothers Andreas & Robin Schulz (AKA CANVAS) take the fragility of the original and add their own sense of misty eyed wonder to the proceedings. Building on what was already there rather than reinterpreting, the results are charming and instantly disarming.
Premiering below, fall in love all over again with this most magnificent of songs.
