With a new EP, a freshly minted label and a host of collabs with Machinedrum and visual artist Pilar Zeta on the horizon; Detroit born producer Jimmy Edgar certainly won’t be spending this summer kicking back on an Ibiza boulevard sipping mojitos that’s for sure.
Although the Warp alumnus may well have laid down one of the White Isle’s key tracks of the season in EP teaser and title track, ‘Hot Inside’. A swaggering, hot ‘n’ heavy club hit in-the-making replete with ticking, pulmonary beats, distorted techno synthesizers swirls, chintzy house piano stabs and diva hollering; after a tough 2012 ’Hot Inside’ is a welcome return to form for the polymath.
The Hot Inside EP is out on 10 June via Edgar’s and Machinedrum’s Ultramajic imprint.
