Listen: Febueder - “Brazillia” [Premiere]
Now living on the outskirts of London, the two 19-year-old skate kids have up until this point fashioned deviant guitar pop in the vein of alt-J and Colourmusic. "Brazillia", the second single from their upcoming sophomore EP, however hears a band maturing in sound with brass drone mushrooming atop the gang's idiosyncratic off-beat guitar lines.
Never satisfied with keeping the listener cosy, "Brazillia" soon takes on a whole new rhythm and melody at the track's centrepiece, much like the beserk workings of a fluid Warpaint jam though rammed with pent-up adolosence in the boy's choral chants.
"Brazillia" is arguable the group's finest work since our brains rewired upon Febueder's deliciously disconcerting debut "Alligator" last year. Onwards and upwards.
Lilac Lane EP, which also features single "Owing" (see video below), is released on 13 October via Melodic.
Catch the band live on the following dates:

13 - London, Shacklewell Arms
