Yesterday, ambient, electronic producer, Bonobo premiered the first single off his forthcoming Ninja Tune release on Giles Peterson’s BBC Radio 6 show. A master at creating textural moods that envelop you in a muted haze of fluid basslines, and warm, sonic undertones all wrapped in a veil of delicate percussion, dancing bells and perfectly placed clicks. Bonobo has inspired a generation through his blend of vintage samples, hip hop and funk fused beats, and the ability to illuminate any space through his distinct take on electronic music.
‘Cirrus’ is the beginning of a long awaited new chapter for fans still clinging to the producer’s earlier works. This 2013 release will be the first album from Bonobo since his 2010 Blacks Sands and Black Sands Remixed albums, which includes remixes by Machinedrum, Lapalux, FaltyDL, Mike Slott and Duke Dumont. Listen to ‘Cirrus’ and a few words from Giles Peterson on Bonobo from yesterday’s show above.
