Iceland’s Lay Low returns this week with a taster of her upcoming new record, her fifth long player.
“Our Conversations” comes with a pugilism-themed clip - which you can watch below - and sees Lovísa Elísabet Sigrúnardóttir pushing the sophistication level of her songwriting even further. Recorded in Sigrúnardóttir’s basement last summer, it’s flush with intricate and rewarding melodies.
Lay Low appears at The Great Escape in Brighton next month, including an appearance at the Iceland Airwaves showcase on the final day of the event (10 May).
“Our Conversations” is released on 1 May via lalala records.
