Laura Marling joins Marika Hackman onstage at End of the Road for a Best Fit secret show
Laura Marling made an surprise appearance tonight during one of Best Fit's secret sessions at this year's End of the Road Festival, joining Marika Hackman in the forest.
Ahead of her set later this evening, Marling took to the small piano stage for one song with Hackman. In the absence of a PA, the duo performed nose-to-nose with a hundred strong crowd, fighting noise bleed from Giant Sand's show on the nearby Garden Stage.
Best Fit's secret shows and sessions this weekend have seen the likes of Mammut, Barna Howard, Andrew Combs, Django Django, Meilyr Jones, Jessica Pratt, East India Youth, Julie Byrne, The Unthanks, Nadine Shah, Amber Arcades, Flo Morrissey, Sam Amidon, Kevin Morby, Rozi Plain and This is the Kit play surprise sets. One more performance is planned at 7pm from Sam Amidon.
