Kate Teague dials up the emo on latest torch song "In Our Element"
Continuing what has so far been a royal flush of heavy-on-the-heartstrings torch songs, Oxford, Mississippi's Kate Teague returns with a divine new single "In Our Element".
Having first caught our attention with the stunning cuts "Low Life" (find me a better delivered chorus in 2018), "Good To You" and "Gilly" throughout last year, Teague's latest comes in advance of her SXSW debut.
"I wrote this song in response to completely misinterpreting someone's body language at a series of parties. I began falling in love with the idea that someone was falling in love with me, but I ultimately realized it was all in my head."
"In Our Element" once again displays a very individual voice at play and we're gasping for more.
