Kasper Bjørke transforms the baroque pop of Lowly into an electro-beast
Danish quintet Lowly released their debut - Sink Way Into Me - EP at the tail end of 2015. Experimental pop with fascinating rhythms and yearning melodies, they're one of the most exciting new bands to emerge from the Northern climbs in recent times.
Here, electronic producer Kasper Bjørke reworks the EP opener 'Fire' and breaths a whole new life into the baroque pop shuffle of the original. In Bjørke's own words: "A challenge for me was working with a song that is not recorded to a precise tempo but I think that's also a big part of the charm - and that it came out great and has an almost slow ravey feel to it, with the piece of piano that I sampled from the original version.. It's definitely not a 4am remix but more of a party starter…"
