2013 has been a strong year for the twenty-three-year-old Fyfe, what with the warm reception of tracks such as “Solace” and “Conversations” on the radio and blogosphere alike.
With an album in production and a European tour to fill up most of his November, the solo artist has found the time to share, for free, his latest offering, “Lies Pt. II”.
Since hitting the studio recently to record his debut LP, Fyfe – aka Paul Dixon – has had his head down. In fact, it was only the back of his head that listeners were given in the first place; but while Dixon might turn away from cameras, he certainly doesn’t shun great songwriting. “Lies Pt. II” speaks of much pain, though that is mollified by Dixon’s soothing melodies; a great cathartic achievement. The simple yet equally calming video can be found here.
Fyfe will be touring with London Grammar and Dan Croll in November, as well as playing London Calling and Transmusicales festivals.
