FEET pay homage to Linda McCartney on the meat-free banger "Vegetarian Christmas"
Peppering our Christmas playlists with an alt-indie delight, the wholesome quintet FEET (who also "don't eat meat") have finally released a track that represents veggies on "Vegetarian Christmas".
For every vegetarian, there hasn't ever been a time when someone's asked "but what do you even eat at Christmas?" But thanks to the OG veggie Linda McCartney, non-meat-eaters have been gifted scrumptious meat alternative perfection for years.
Encouraging people to think about swerving the turkey this Christmas, FEET bring seasonal jingle bells and their signature jangly guitars plus a small cameo from fellow vegan Declan McKenna, on "Vegetarian Christmas". It's an incredible holiday tune that we didn't know we needed.
"'Vegetarian Christmas' is about the wholesome alternative," says FEET's frontman George. "Teach, don't preach is the song's philosophy. We're presenting the option and asking what's on your plate this Christmas? Food and tradition is closely linked in this country and we believe it should not reflect the past without working towards a more positive future. Nothing's a tradition until it starts. Why not make vegetarianism part of yours this Christmas?"
