London-born Dua Lipa shares management with LDR but that's where the similarity ends

The London-born Dua Lipa makes a sound that's dark and balladic with shades of drama, cut apart by vocoders and strings.
She shares management with Lana Del Rey but thankfully there's no LDR-clonery at work here. The Para One remix of recent track "New Love" finds Lipa in full flow, pushing a near-husky, full-bodied '80s vocal across soulful RnB pop hooks.
It's instantly catchy and the 20-year-old - who dropped her first demo on SoundCloud back in 2013 - sounds like she’s grown up fast.
