
Dream Wife air "Somebody", a hard-hitting new "ballad for women"
Dream Wife have unveiled new single "Somebody", a deliriously fun piece of empowering music.
The punchy punk-pop trio, recently announced as one of the first acts for our new monthly club night, describe the track as a "ballad for women".
"The song explores the experience of living in a female body within our society," Dream Wife explain. "It's a conversation on the reclamation of bodies by the women who occupy them in a tender, yet direct, and empowering way."
"Somebody" is an immediately accessible burst of free-flowing rock brilliance, with scrappy licks and unchained vocal displays. With an all-too-poignant message wrapped up in a gloriously punchy dose of noise, Dream Wife prove once more they're a vital landmark in British music right now.
