The Line of Best Fit
The group kick off 2018 with an achingly beautiful track.
A departure from the jovial pop sounds of their last offerings, “Blackout” is a haunting arrangement that is devastating in its severity and luscious in its arrangement. The fragility of the vocals and the powerful sentiment within the lyrics is akin to the sounds of Daughter and Cat Power with frontwoman Lucy bringing her own definitive edge to the table. Chilling and poignant in equal measure, “Blackout” is an example of Dahlia Sleeps’ ability to make magic out of simplicity.
“Blackout” is out 26 January via Olympia Records
