D/R/U/G/S and Akiine team up on emotion-packed electro single "New Born Love"

Manchester-based producer and DJ D/R/U/G/S has shot out "New Born Love", a stunning new single with vocals from Akiine.

Callum Wright (aka D/R/U/G/S) is releasing the track on Code Silence, his own imprint.

Fusing chilled-out house sounds with immense pop hooks, Wright and Akiine craft a song full of passion and complex emotion. There are hints of Jon Hopkins' blissful minimalism in the production - Wright knows when to go full pelt, but he also knows when less is definitely more - and Akiine's glorious voice soars across the electro landscape. Both artists symbiotically spiral upwards towards a magnificent finale of sonic beauty.

Wright will play Bristol's Start The Bus on 28 August, London's The Waiting Room on 1 September, and DJ at 1234 Festival in Shoreditch on 3 September.
