Connie Constance reveals herself as the queen of reflective nu-soul with the fearless Boring Connie EP and a standout track, the affecting minimalist "1st World Tragedy".
The song - which Constance performed duetted live last week at Poppy Ajudha's debut headline show - grapples with the idiosyncrasies, hypocrisies, and contradictions of modern western life. It's delivered by one of the finest talents coming out of London right now. The Watford-born singer's vocal continues to surprise with its strength, quirk, and character.
Constance's year saw her support our fave rapper Kojey Radical and perform at Glastonbury, Afropunk, BBK Takeover, and Live At Leeds. She also curated her own night Pep Rally earlier this month, which featured Constance alongside Skinny Pelembe and Maya Law live in Camden.
