Norwegian producer Clairmont enlists Julie Bergan and Mugisho for smooth debut "Can't Help Myself"
A brand new name on the Nordic music scene, Clairmont - an exciting talent in his own right - has teamed up with two of Norway's brightest emerging talents for his debut single.
"Can't Help Myself" features the vocal talents of Julie Bergan (we're fans of her at Best Fit already) and Mugisho (one of the breakout stars of this year's Trondheim Calling) - with all three Norwegians combining to make one of the sunniest tracks of the year so far.
Shunning the trend towards dancehall-lite, the track bursts alive with warped bright synths and snapping percussion right from the start. Mugisho provides soulful vocals and a gigantic chorus hook, while Bergan's voice on the bridge is one of her most tender and muture to date. When the voices combine on the final run of choruses it's as summery as you could ever want at this time of year.
At the core of it all, though, is Clairmont's dynamic production which never veers away from being as vibrant and as colourful as possible. This young man is one to watch.
