Watch the video for Charlotte OC's mysterious suburban love-ritual "Strange"
Charlotte OC has developed a musical personality in the last year that anyone under 25 would envy. With musical chops sun-kissed by trips to LA, the Blackburn-born 24-year old found praise amongst critics and fringe-loving devotees in 2013 for her debut EP Colour My Heart.
Relentless, she is now working on her follow up and the Strange EP finds producer Tim Anderson (Sia, Solange) returning and a video treatment for the title track by Georgia Hudson of MØ’’s “Don’t Wanna Dance” fame. Hudson’s interest in displaying fashion through a visual medium dominates the video - as seen by OC’s bold monochromatic garments.
The track’s morphine-induced slow pace and witching android-like vocals are the soundtrack to a mysterious suburban love-ritual, casting Charlotte OC as an ultra-modern Wicca priestess under a lamppost-induced blood red sky. Watch the clip below.
The Strange EP is released via Polydor on 22 September.
