Multitalented Lola Blanc shares saccharine pop track “Lifted” under new moniker Butter
“Lifted” is the sweet and spreadable second single from breaking outfit Butter, the new moniker of singer/songwriter/actress/writer Lola Blanc.
“Lifted” follows debut track “For Kate I Wait”, an Ariel Pink cover released in July. Its saccharine electronic sound places Butter neatly alongside high-octane artists such as SOPHIE and Hannah Diamond; bright pop with major commercial appeal. Generous bass keeps the infectious track interesting, whilst its earworm refrains make for understated but instantly memorable choruses.
Blanc references Madonna and other classic pop culture touchstones amongst her inspirations for the project, and the combination of these bubblegum influences with her breathy delivery makes Butter’s sound exactly as sweet as you’d hope.
