"This song is both an introduction to me and an example of me having fun with the music," says South London MC Bonkaz of the Dizzee Rascal-sampling cut “You Don’t Know Me (Bonkaz)”.
There's no shortage of talent south of the river right now and Bonkaz takes his place alongside the likes of Fekky, Gfrsh, Krept & Konan, Stormzy and Section Boyz leading the new generation of UK hip hop in to 2016.
The Croydon-born boy grew up on Dizzee and says it was a “no brainer” to use a lift from the Armand Van Helden-produced number one single “Bonkers” - a track that also has his name in it. Listen above.
