Sheffield five-piece, Blessa, have released their second single “Unfurl”, a perfect slice of uplifting indie-pop that cannot fail to soothe souls and lighten moods.
Coming from the Steel City band’s upcoming debut EP, “Unfurl” is three minutes of immaculately produced nu-folk-RnB that evokes images of a modernist Fleetwood Mac.
Initially combining reverb-drenched guitar smatterings with an upbeat tempo and a wonderfully insistent bassline, the track is the ideal canvas for lead singer Olivia Neller to unleash her vocal pallet upon, sounding like an intriguing cross between Stevie Nicks and Lily Allen.
Blessa embark on a short five-date tour on 26 April that includes shows in Sheffield, Liverpool, Brighton, Newcastle and Leeds. Tickets can be purchased here.
They release their debut EP Love Is An Evol Word on 23 June through their own label Carmel Records in conjunction with Generator.
